This week marks the two year anniversary of Darkfall!

Our second year closes behind us and we hope you will join us in celebrating many more to come!  It has been a long and exhilarating year for us and only marks the beginning of a lot more excitement in the future to come.  We’ve really had a tremendous journey so far and it’s been a thrill to have you all with us every step of the way.  We have some really exciting directions for Darkfall in the times ahead and we hope to see you for many more anniversary celebrations!

Of course, Agon celebrates alongside us with the annual Emberfest Celebrations! From the records of the Acolytes of the Watcher:

Once a year the denizens of Agon enjoy a (very) brief lull in the relentless pursuit of dominion to celebrate the Ember Fest.  The Ember represents the spark of life and fire that flickers and crackles in each one of them, fueling their lust for battle, warming their passion and creativity and burning their souls with a thirst for domination to such a scale as can only be found in the steely hearts of the races of Agon.
It is generally agreed, (insofar as the races ever agree to anything) that the first Ember Fest celebrations mark the first years of the world, and as such the festival also serves as an anniversary for Agon itself.
During these days of raucous celebration, brilliant displays of pyrotechnics can often be seen above the major cities of the world,  flashing and glimmering below the stars to give thanks to the Ember spark.

We will be ending our anniversary week with what we hope will be a very fun event for all who take part! In an effort to increase tourism in and around Agon, the Acolytes of the Watcher, in cooperation with the Agonian Tourism Preservation Society, will be placing flags around the interesting locations of the land.

As added incentive they will publish clues as to the whereabouts of these flags and anybody who locates them first (and indeed grabs them before being slaughtered by any nearby denizens and/or fellow tourists) will receive prizes and goodies for their pro-touristic actions!

Of course, no Agonian events ever come without a little bloodshed, so this event may well end with some bloody battle for anyone who feels they have the stones… We’re not allowed to tell you exactly who will come to the rumble, but perhaps we can ask… “have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?”

The event is set for this Friday (the 4th) at 19:30 Greek Time for the EU server and Saturday (the 5th) at 19:30 New York Time for the NA server.
