In today’s media sneak peek we present the new Bone armor, renamed to Bonescale as well as a new golem based on the old obsidian golem that goes by the name of Necroguardian.
The new bone armor will be the high end medium armor and to craft it you will need some special components. The Necroguardian will inhabit undead themed areas.
when will you present us with an ETA or a patch? or a so much promised spotlight on the new features???

The recent earthquake on the eastern US seaboard has prevented a few employees and pushed development back a few weeks. However, you’ll be glad to know that the Libyan rebels’ sacking of Tripoli was the final testing stage of the new siege system and providing that Moammar Gadhafi does not re-siege, the new system will be released within the next few weeks.

This just in – Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi’s escape from Tripoli was made possible by the new physics system that is currently under development. We’re very excited to see that this was such a great success and we’ll be showcasing this system (and Gaddafi’s escape) in the coming weeks.
the golem is cool, but what happened to your motion capture studio, the character movements look the same and could use some work, I mean no mid lower torso movement while running? come on, hope you are still working on everything you promised.
I hope you turned off all other features ( new lighting, audio, animations… ) you promised us for 2.0 ! If these are turned on in the video, i doubt many people will enjoy the “Darkfall 2.0 RELAUNCH”. It looked the same like 2 years ago.
Remember guys a release of August means they still have around a week left to show us an entirely new game! -.-
They actually said they would most likely announce a release date in August because most of the development will be completed, not that it would be released in August.
I noticed a new crosshair. I hope they release diffrent skill/attacks with diffrent weapons. ie make a hammer slower but have more power…and have diffrent abilities you can use when you wield a hammer…make each weapon have a purpose – some pros/cons if you will.

The best is people on the forums talking like this shows momentum when he is clearly sprinting and stops sprinting @.43 sec’s.
The real question is whats up with the same animations and no dx11?
Where on earth did you get DX11 from? :S And besides a game doesn’t automatically look good when you use DX11.
they talked about it on a mmorpg.com interviev longe time ago.
No the game will probebly not look better but we want dx11 so we can get the benefit of dx11, if you don’t use the dx11 effects you get a alot more proformance from dx11 software than old dx9 software
and the promised lighting changes they have been talking about for a year+ require dx11.
Pretty sure this is just their way of saying we’re not getting an actual update this week.
I like the look of the bone but wasn’t medium armor archer armor. Why not have him shooting a bow? Or is their still mobs that aren’t effected by certain damage? That will make farming a pain in the ass with specializations.
Will there be a wipe?
Why don’t you update your Twitter? Bad for business to leave tools like that idle which otherwise would reach a lot of fans.

The bone armor looks too much like sand paper you should make it smoother and bleached white with a gleam. The joints of bone armor could use some gore or artistic flare.
The bone monster or any monster should be determinable from its silhouette. Its movements should also reflect its mass.
What players want to see is customization of armor, different colored armor, how well the armor sets mesh. FPS is something you should keep posted.
New animations, abilities, sounds, ect…
I understand its a lot of work getting that armor to fit and look good, but people don’t care what you think looks good they want to create something for themselves that they think looks good.
Screw the media sneakpeak… give us an ETA
Will the necrogaurdian be easy to kill like in this video, or was the person fighting it just doing it that way for the lols?
New bonescale looks great. Honestly I want that viking armor showed in 2009

Aside from HDRL I don’t see anything different in animations or physics in that video.

Wow, this is impressive, steppin backwards. Technically speaking it is much harder than walking forwards. I am much more proficient at moving forward. So good job AV! You’re mastering new techniques

Updates like this are why people cancel subs. How about you give us a DEFINITIVE answer on wipes? No one wants to play a grind-central game when there may be a wipe.
All i see is human armors, are u guys really that for away of getting all races new armors…..??? It will take atleast a year to give us relaunch….and that golem is 100% the same, just a other skin and loot table.
I like how when the golem is jumping up in the air it can still rotate to face the player.
Could you at least give us slightly more physical combat so the golem doesn’t auto-rotate to face the player instantly.. So you could go slap him on the ass while he’s doing a big ground pound. Or how about ducking below his “clap” attack since it looks like there’s room.
What happened to more tactical combat?
Why are you giving us a reskinned golem, thats not a real improvement.
The new human model seems pointless with the same old animations, it also looks like he’s hunching his shoulders somehow, like poorly matched animation retargeting for the new model. You’re supposed to modify the animation to fit the model, not the other way around.
Perhaps you could clarify and say “This is not Darkfall 2.0″ or far from representing a finished version.
I’ve been trying to get a bunch of people interested who gave the old Darkfall a pass due to it’s problems. This however is not helping that cause.
