10/9-2001:
- hi Zakath
7/9-2001:
- Rewritten the generic framework used
in all server apps, with code reuse
in mind.
- Everything SQL related up and running
- Changed some internal logics in the
LAN data transport code.
- Recompiled FreeBSD kernel with a new
frequency of 5000Hz, getting me a
timer resolution of .2 ms. Also increased
hard resource limits in the kernel.
Realtime scheduling now works properly.
- Fixed a MEAN bug... Had a logical OR
instead of bitwise in a network traffic
filter, it really made a mess ;)
- Network traffic monitor improved, it
now understands most of the internal
traffic better, and prints far more
readable network dumps.
- Currently working on the frontend and
the client-side networking code.
- Need to add some signal handlers to the
server application framework.
- Need to test performance on more OSes,
and make a choice.
- Need to write a debugger for the client,
to gather system info and crash dumps
automatically.
15/8-2001:
- Finished network traffic monitor, and
SQL server setup. Now working on a
set of classes to abstract the SQL
server access from the frontend code.
7/8-2001:
- Port the internal networking code back
to windows from bsd
- Setup a SQL server to hold user database,
and write the code to access it
- Build a internal network traffic monitor/
filtering app for debugging
- Write the frontend relaying user traffic
into the server cluster
