In other news I've been working on physics & stuff like that in order to get everything set for the alpha.
After that I have the rest of the development cycle of Darkfall to tune & make it look sweet and purdy.
But now I am leaving on a dangerous mission to remove some of my paleness.
I will do a proper update of things when I get back.
21/01-2002:
After massive request (well Pumpkin at least :)) I've finally
updated my plan file.
Since this is the first real update from me, I'll describe what
I do for Darkfall besides drinking too much coffee :)
First of all my name is Kjetil Helland and I am a codeaholic.
I program the client side 3D-Engine for Darkfall.
That consists of Sound (2D, 3D), Rendering (2D, 3D), Physics,
Collisions, Scenegraph, general object handling and more :)
I also make the core object handling for the server side.
That is specialized and parallelized versions of the Physics,
Collisions etc.etc. Everything else on the server is handled by Erik’s magic.
Right now I am working on quite a big set of different things.
I am creating a new shader and rendering system for the rendering,
in order to be able to make Darkfall run on a variety of hardware classes.
And it will also assist auto-scaling of rendering, so that we
can have huge clan fights without a framerate of 1FPM.
I am also adding to the new system for the scenegraph.
The key idea behind the 3D-Engine is that everything must
and shall be dynamic. There will be minimal pre-processing of things.
New objects can enter the world at anytime, and you can change
the environment on the fly. You can also change the rendering pipeline
and effects dynamically, so that we may update the graphics processing
dynamically while you are in the game.
I’ve also updated the animation system, which I am going to test
just after I’ve finished writing this plan file.
Other than that I plan on testing the small mp3
player for the client I coded last night when I was tired.
Oh, and I have to include this:

It’s mainly what’s circulating in my winamp these days :-)
