A persistent and evolving world is one that is always there and where the action never ends. The game keeps evolving even after you have logged off. Darkfall Unholy Wars pushes the envelope of Massive Multiplayer Games featuring a larger world, more concurrent players per world, and the capacity to host massive online battles with more players engaged than possibly any other MMORPG of its kind. 

PvP stands for Player versus Player and is a type of multiplayer interactive battle within a game between two or more players. PvP is in contrast to games where players have to fight against computer controlled opponents, known as Player versus Environment (PvE).

In Darkfall Unholy Wars PvP has been taken to the extreme level compared to other MMORPG games, since the technology allows for real-time action gameplay much like first person shooter games (FPS), rather than the turned-based point and click combat most other MMORPG games feature

Darkfall Unholy Wars is developed by Aventurine SA, an independent game developer based in Athens, Greece. Aventurine is also the developer of Darkfall Online, which was in service from 2009 until 2012. 

Darkfall Unholy Wars is a new game, the next chapter of Darkfall and takes place many generations after the original game's timeline.

A subscription to Darkfall Unholy Wars  means 30 days of unlimited game time. It also gives you the option to create one character on the North American and one character on the European servers. Each time you login to your account you can decide the server you wish to use for your gaming session.

Darkfall Unholy Wars is a massive, virtual world hosted on server clusters. The game is supported on a daily basis and new content is continuously added and updated. A monthly subscription is necessary so that we can continue offering a premium service and support for the game.

Darkfall Unholy Wars is an online game, therefore you need to connect to it via the Internet. We recommend a broadband connection, such as ADSL.

Darkfall Unholy Wars is strictly a massive multiplayer online game. You will need to connect to the game’s servers in order to play, and after you create your character, you will immediately find yourself in the multiplayer environment. There’s no offline mode to Darkfall Unholy Wars.

Unfortunately there won’t be a Darkfall Unholy Wars version for Mac yet.

Darkfall Unholy Wars runs on two virtual worlds: one is on a server located in North America and the other one is located in Europe. Depending on your location, time zone, where your friends play, players should choose the most convenient server for them. We do not restrict access based on location, in fact with one Darkfall Unholy Wars account you can have a character on each server, if you like.

In Darkfall Unholy Wars the mortals (this means you!) have been judged by the Goddess of old and deemed unworthy for her lands. At the same time, the Dark Coven, a group of powerful demons who lead the Twilight Kingdom have begun an invasion of Agon. There is one chance, one small opportunity for you to rise up, defeat the celestial and infernal hordes and carve your dominion into legend! Visit the chronicles of Agon's history and lore if you wish to learn more of Dakfall's story.

Agon is the fantastical world where you will experience your Darkfall Unholy Wars adventures and battle other players and clans to claim bloody glory and dominion over all! 

Darkfall Unholy Wars boasts one of the largest virtual worlds of its kind.

Darkall Unholy Wars is a completely new game and thus you will need to create a new character. As glorious a legend as you may have been able to carve in the original Darkfall Online, it will be a mere prefix to the epic adventures and dominion you can claim in Darkfall Unholy Wars. 

There are 6 playable races in Darkfall Unholy Wars: The versatile Humans of Mercia, the stoic Tovarr of Dvergheim, the savage Ork of Morak, the twisted Alfari of Nagast, the graceful Mirdain of Mirendil, and the proud Mahirim of the Tribelands. 

Darkfall Unholy Wars does not utilize classes in the traditional sense rather, you select a role and specify two schools to focus on within that role. Roles and Schools are not set in stone and you can change between them to suit your play-style or current situation. 

Darkfall Unholy Wars is a skill-based game and therefore your character does not gain levels as he progresses through the game. Instead, each time you use a certain skill you become more proficient and thus your character evolves. Furthermore, you can select a role that your character can advance and specialize even further. 

Yes, there is. As soon as you create a new character you will appear inside a safe starting area, specifically designed for new players. During your initial actions inside this starting area, you will have the opportunity to get accustomed with the interface and various actions your character can initiate during his exploration of Agon and the battles to come.

Yes, Darkfall Unholy Wars has several safe zones where players can learn the game at their own pace. In those areas they can learn how to harvest, craft and trade in relative safety.

In Darkfall Unholy Wars you can craft anything. From food to buildings and even ships. You can choose the look of your weapons and craft them. Moreover, you can infuse materials with rare essences and use them in crafting more powerful items.

Darkfall Unholy Wars supports a vast player driven economy. Players can interact through racial chat, alliance chat and in-game trade boards as well as a marketplace. 

When your character dies he drops all of his or her items and these remain at your gravestone until looted, but the good news is that the character is resurrected at a spot you have previously selected. If you are clever and lucky you may even recover all your items before somebody else does!

You don’t need to join a clan in Darkfall Unholy Wars. You can play the game by yourself as a lone adventurer; however, we believe that Darkfall Unholy Wars is better experienced when you join a clan as a lot of the gameplay has been designed around massive siege battles and epic clan wars.
